Healthy Schools

The Healthy Schools Award encourages schools to continually strengthen their capacity as a healthy setting for living, learning and working. A healthy school supports the physical and emotional health of the whole school community and creates an environment that is conducive to learning. In a healthy school the curriculum promotes physical and emotional health by providing accessible and relevant information and equipping pupils with the skills and attitudes to make informed decisions about their health.

Football Foundation

The Football Foundation is playing a key role in revitalising the grass roots sport, investing in our parks, schools and playing fields and harnessing the power of the game within our communities, to promote education and social inclusion.
Junior Kit Scheme
The aim of this scheme is to support Under 18 teams by offering free kit and/or equipment up to the value of L400. The voucher can be exchanged with our nominated supplier - Nike. Schools may only receive one grant every three years. Clubs may apply for two vouchers every three years, as long as one application is for a girls’ team, and the other is for a boys’ team.
Goalpost Safety Scheme
The aim of this scheme is to replace goals which fail to meet the British Standards safety requirements. The intention of this initiative is not simply to provide goals on a new for old basis. An individual grant cannot exceed 50% of the cost of a pair of goals up to a ceiling of L1,500. An applicant (such as a local authority or school) may apply for up to a maximum of 10 grants (the grants may apply to one site or several).
